How I came to this work
You may have been thinking about therapy for sometime. Finding the right place can take courage.
You may be wondering how it all works and who I am.
What follows outlines the approach I bring and what you can expect when we begin exploring together.
About my approach
My practice is integrative and trauma-informed, shaped by years of experience across community, NHS and higher education mental health services.
I work relationally and collaboratively. This means:
We move at the speed of safety
We pay attention to patterns shaped by earlier experiences
We remain curious about survival strategies, not just symptoms
We gently explore what healing might look like for you
Therapy is not about being “fixed”.
Its about understanding, integrating and strengthening the parts of you that have carried too much for too long.
My background
I have spent many years working alongside adults and young people across community, education, NHS and private practice settings.
Again and again, what has mattered most is not technique but relationship — the trust and consistency that allow healing to unfold.
It is a privilege to sit with someone as they make sense of their story and begin to feel more grounded in themselves.
Beyond clinical work, I am also a wife, mother, grandmother and lifelong creative. The natural world — its rhythms, rootedness and quiet beauty — continues to shape how I understand growth and resilience. Creativity also shapes the gentle, reflective pace I bring to this work.
