Online therapy offers flexible, accessible support from the comfort of your own space. Sessions are held via secure video and can be adapted to your preferences, whether you’re looking for reflective conversation, gentle exercises or practical grounding strategies.
Many people find that online therapy provides consistency and ease during busy or challenging seasons of life.
How Online Therapy Works
The first step is to schedule a free consultation where we can determine if we’re a good fit. We’ll talk about what prompted you to seek therapy and what you hope to achieve within the process. We will also briefly discuss the Therapy Contract. which I will have already sent to you to read prior to our call. Should
you wish to proceed, I will then send you a Microsoft Teams invite which will contain a secure link that you will need to click on at the time of our first session together.
During our first session, we’ll explore in more detail your journey to therapy. I will do a lot of listening to give you space to share your story.
In our second session, we’ll create a plan of what you want to achieve during our time together. We’ll discuss some of the roadblocks you may face and strategies to overcome them.
In our subsequent sessions, we will continue to work on the goals you created at the beginning of therapy. If new problems arise, we will hold space for those problems, too. We will check in on your goals and make adjustments as necessary.

When we have agreed a date and time for our therapy session, I will send you a secure lMicrosoft Teams link. You will be able to click on this link at the time of our appointment. and it will take you directly to our meeting together.
It is essential that you ensure you are somewhere private for this session, somewhere we will not be overheard or interrupted . it is very important to me that always feel safe and secure during our time together.
The structure of session together will be little different to if we were meeting in person, other than we will be doing it online. There will be opportunities for us to explore, investigate and discuss. On occasions I may share my screen with you which will provide us with opportunities to explore diagrams, fill in tables or watch short videos together. Its always a good idea to have pen, paper and maybe even coloured pens/pencils with you too.

Before our online session, I will ensure I have either your mobile or landline number. Should this situation occur, I will then ring you and we can continue our session via telephone instead.

Before our session, we will discuss such eventualities and determine how best to respond. I understand fully how, even if we try to secure privacy, there are occasions when we may be disturbed.
Please ensure you phone is on silent during our sessions and we will agree some form of ‘signal’ should you feel unsafe at any point too..
